Day 1 Β· Slide 2 of 13 β 2. Ice Breaker
π₯ Ice Breaker β Your Perfect AI Assistant
- Take 60 seconds. Think β do not type yet.
- Share your answer in the chat in one sentence.
- We will read 5 out loud and map them to AI tools we will cover today.
- Notice: almost every answer is already something AI can do in 2026.
Day 1 Β· Slide 3 of 13 β 3. What is Gen AI
What Exactly is Generative AI?
Generative AI is software that creates new content β text, images, audio, video, code β that did not exist before, based on patterns it learned from massive amounts of data.
e.g. a calculator: 2+2 always = 4.
e.g. "Write me a poem about Lagos" β a new poem.
Think of Gen AI as a chef who has eaten every meal ever cooked. You don't give them a recipe β you describe what you crave ("spicy, West African, vegetarian, for 4 people") and they invent a new dish on the spot. They didn't copy a recipe. They learned what "good food" tastes like.
- Data β billions of pages of text, images, code, audio
- A model β a giant mathematical brain (the LLM) that finds patterns
- Training β months of running data through the model on supercomputers
- A prompt β YOUR instruction that tells it what to create
Day 1 Β· Slide 4 of 13 β 4. Types
The Types of Generative AI
All Gen AI does one thing: generate. But what it generates puts it in a category.
| Type | What it Generates | Famous Tools |
|---|---|---|
| Text | Articles, emails, code, answers, plans | ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek |
| Image | Photos, art, logos, product mockups | Midjourney, DALLΒ·E, Nano Banana |
| Video | Short clips, ads, explainers, avatars | Sora, Kling, Runway, Veo |
| Audio / Voice | Voiceovers, music, sound effects, clones | ElevenLabs, Suno, Udio |
| Code | Whole apps, scripts, fixes, explanations | DeepSeek, Cursor, Copilot, Lovable |
| Search / Research | Cited answers from the live web | Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT Search |
| Multimodal | Mix: read an image + write code about it | GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude |
| Agents | AI that takes actions on your behalf | ChatGPT Agents, Manus, Devin |
Day 1 Β· Slide 5 of 13 β 5. Use Cases
Real Use Cases β By Who You Are
- Summarise a 60-page chapter into a 1-page revision sheet
- Get a topic explained 5 different ways until it clicks
- Generate practice questions and instant grading on your answers
- Draft, structure, and proof essays (without it writing them for you)
- Inbox triage: reply to 30 emails in 10 minutes
- Turn a 90-minute meeting recording into action items + a follow-up email
- Build slide decks, reports, and proposals from rough notes
- Research a new client, market, or competitor in 5 minutes instead of 5 hours
- Generate full marketing campaigns (copy, images, video) for the cost of a coffee
- Create product mockups before paying a designer
- Build internal tools and automations without hiring developers
- Run 24/7 customer support with branded AI agents
Day 1 Β· Slide 6 of 13 β 6. How It's Made
How Generative AI Is Actually Made
You don't need a PhD β but understanding the pipeline below will make you 10Γ better at using AI.
Day 1 Β· Slide 7 of 13 β 7. LLMs
What is a Large Language Model (LLM)?
An LLM is the brain inside every text-based AI tool you've heard of. "Large" because it has hundreds of billions of parameters (the dials that store what it learned).
Day 1 Β· Slide 8 of 13 β 8. Today's Tools
The 4 Tools We'll Use Live Today
Same underlying tech (LLMs) β very different strengths. Knowing which to reach for is half the skill.
π’ ChatGPT (OpenAI)
chat.openai.comBest at: The all-rounder. Writing, brainstorming, analysing files, voice chat, images, code, and now agents that take actions for you.
Use it when: You need a versatile assistant that can read your PDF, write a draft, then turn it into a slide deck β all in one place.
Weak at: Real-time facts on free tier (cutoff date), and can hallucinate citations.
π΅ Google Gemini
gemini.google.comBest at: Live Google Search integration, working across Gmail, Docs, Drive, YouTube. Massive context window β feed it a whole book.
Use it when: You need current info, want it inside your Google workspace, or want to analyse a long video / huge document.
Weak at: Slightly more cautious tone; sometimes refuses harmless creative tasks.
π£ Perplexity AI
perplexity.aiBest at: Research with citations. Every claim links to its source. The serious replacement for Google when you need answers, not 10 blue links.
Use it when: Market research, fact-checking, sourcing statistics, due diligence β anywhere you need to trust and trace the answer.
Weak at: Long creative writing or coding (not its job).
π· DeepSeek AI
chat.deepseek.comBest at: Code β writing, debugging, explaining. Strong math & reasoning. Open-source weights, often free where others charge.
Use it when: You want to automate something with a script, fix a broken Excel formula, or understand code your developer sent you.
Weak at: Tone for marketing copy; less polished UI than ChatGPT.
| If you need to⦠| Reach for |
|---|---|
| Write, brainstorm, draft, summarise | ChatGPT |
| Current facts, YouTube analysis, long docs | Gemini |
| Research with verifiable sources | Perplexity |
| Write or understand code | DeepSeek |
Day 1 Β· Slide 9 of 13 β 9. Prompting 101
Prompt Engineering β The Art of Talking to AI
A prompt is the instruction you give the AI. Prompt engineering is the skill of writing instructions that make the AI produce exactly what you want β on the first or second try.
The difference between these two prompts is the difference between a junior intern and a senior strategist responding to you.
Day 1 Β· Slide 10 of 13 β 10. 9 Principles
The 9 Principles of a Great Prompt
Drawn from Anthropic's official prompt engineering guide and battle-tested with ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek.
Day 1 Β· Slide 11 of 13 β 11. Prompt Formula
The CRISP Prompt Formula
One formula. Memorise it. Use it for the rest of the week.
Role: You are a senior business development coach.
Instruction: Write me a follow-up email to the prospect.
Specifics: 90 words, warm but professional, no apology, ends asking for feedback.
Polish: Avoid "circle back" and "touch base". Give me 2 versions.
Day 1 Β· Slide 12 of 13 β 12. π₯ Cheat Sheet
The Prompt Engineering Cheat Sheet
12 high-leverage prompt techniques. Export to Excel or PDF and keep it open while you work.
| Category | Technique | Template | Example | When to use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Role & Persona | Assign an expert role | You are a [role] with [N] years of experience in [domain]. [Task]. | You are a senior marketing strategist with 15 years in B2B SaaS. Draft a launch plan for a CRM aimed at small law firms. | When you want expert-level tone, depth, and assumptions. |
| Context | Provide background first | Context: [audience, goal, constraints]. Task: [exact action]. | Context: I run a 12-person consulting firm in Lagos selling to mid-market banks. Task: Write a cold email to a Head of Operations. | Any task where audience, tone, or constraints matter (almost always). |
| Specificity | Be concrete about output | Produce [N] [items] in [format], each with [fields]. Tone: [tone]. Length: [N words]. | Produce 5 LinkedIn hooks in a bulleted list, each under 15 words, conversational tone. | When you keep getting vague or generic answers. |
| Examples (Few-shot) | Show 2β3 examples of what 'good' looks like | Here are examples: Input: ... Output: ... Now do the same for: [input]. | Input: 'Bank loses customers.' Output: 'Stop the silent churn at your bank.' Input: 'CRM is slow.' Output: 'Speed your CRM. Save your team.' Now do: 'AI is confusing.' | When style, format, or pattern matters more than facts. |
| Step-by-step | Ask the model to think before answering | Think step by step. First [step 1], then [step 2], then give the final answer. | Think step by step. First list the customer's pains, then map each to a feature, then write the pitch. | Complex reasoning, math, multi-step planning, debugging. |
| Structured Output | Request a specific format | Return the answer as a [table/JSON/markdown list] with columns: [c1, c2, c3]. | Return a markdown table with columns: Risk | Likelihood (1-5) | Impact (1-5) | Mitigation. | When the output feeds another tool, spreadsheet, or report. |
| Constraints | State what NOT to do | Do not [X]. Avoid [Y]. Must include [Z]. | Do not use jargon. Avoid hype words like 'revolutionary'. Must mention compliance. | When previous attempts drifted off-tone or off-topic. |
| Iteration | Refine in turns | Good. Now [shorter / more formal / add data / cut the intro]. | Good. Now cut it to 80 words and add one statistic with a citation. | Always. The first answer is a draft, not a deliverable. |
| Reference Material | Paste source text and anchor the answer | Use ONLY the text below to answer. If the answer is not there, say 'Not in source'. [text] Question: [...] | Use only the policy below to answer whether remote work is allowed for new hires. | Research, summaries, legal/policy work β to prevent hallucination. |
| Audience | Define the reader | Explain [topic] to a [audience] who knows [X] but not [Y]. | Explain RAG to a marketing director who knows ChatGPT but not vector databases. | Teaching, presentations, simplifying complex topics. |
| Self-critique | Ask the model to review its own answer | Now critique your answer. List 3 weaknesses and rewrite it. | Critique the email above. List 3 weaknesses and rewrite a stronger version. | When quality matters and you don't have a second reviewer. |
| Chain prompts | Split a big task into smaller prompts | Step 1: [outline]. Step 2: [draft]. Step 3: [polish]. | Prompt 1: outline a 5-slide pitch. Prompt 2: write slide 1 in detail. Prompt 3: tighten to 30 words. | Long documents, multi-stage research, anything > 1 page. |

Build Day β Your AI System Goes Live
Stop learning. Start shipping. By the end of this 90 minutes you'll have two working web appsβ designed, specced and built live with you watching every keystroke.
| Time | Activity |
|---|---|
| 0:00 β 0:10 | The vibe-coding mindset: prompts are the new code |
| 0:10 β 0:20 | Stitch β Claude β Lovable: the 3-step flow |
| 0:20 β 0:30 | PRD masterclass with Claude (template + live demo) |
| 0:30 β 0:55 | Build #1: CareerCompass β live, end-to-end |
| 0:55 β 1:20 | Build #2: WorkFlow β live, end-to-end |
| 1:20 β 1:30 | Launch decks with Gamma + assignments |
Day 3 Β· Slide 2 of 8 β 2. Vibe Coding
What is Vibe Coding?
Vibe coding is building software by describing what you want in plain language and letting AI generate the design, the code, and the infrastructure. You direct. The AI implements.
| Old way | Vibe-coding way |
|---|---|
| Learn a framework for 6 months | Describe the app in 6 sentences |
| Designer β PM β Engineer (weeks) | You + 3 AI tools (one afternoon) |
| Code is the deliverable | The prompt is the deliverable |
| Fail late, after building | Fail fast, in the PRD |
You still own the thinking. AI is fast at building, but only as good as the clarity you bring. A bad prompt β a bad app, faster than ever.
Day 3 Β· Slide 3 of 8 β 3. The 3-Step Flow
UI β PRD β Build
Every app today follows the same three steps. Same tools. Same order. Once you internalise this, you can build anything.
UI in Google Stitch
Describe the screens. Stitch generates a real, clickable interface so you (and the AI) can see the product before writing a line of logic.
PRD in Claude
Claude writes a tight Product Requirements Document β users, screens, data, AI features β so Lovable builds the right thing, not just a thing.
Build in Lovable
Paste the PRD into Lovable. It generates the front-end, database, auth, and AI features β running on a live URL in minutes.
- UI first forces concrete decisions: what does the user actually see?
- PRD second turns vibes into specs, so the build is predictable.
- Build last is the cheap step now β don't waste it on a fuzzy idea.
Day 3 Β· Slide 4 of 8 β 4. PRD with Claude
The PRD Prompt β Your Claude Power Move
A PRD is a Product Requirements Document. It's the bridge between an idea in your head and an app on a screen. Claude is the best model for this β long context, structured output, opinionated.
You are a senior product manager writing a PRD for a vibe-coding platform (Lovable) to implement. Product name: <NAME> One-line pitch: <PITCH> Target user: <WHO> Core problem: <PROBLEM> Write a PRD with the following sections, in this exact order: 1. Problem & Audience (3-5 sentences) 2. Goals & Non-Goals (bullet list) 3. Core User Stories (5-7, in "As a __, I want __, so that __" format) 4. Screens & Navigation (list each screen + its purpose) 5. Data Model (tables + key fields, no SQL) 6. Key Interactions / Flows (numbered steps for the 2 most important flows) 7. AI Features (where AI is used, what prompt, what output) 8. Visual Style (colour palette, font, vibe in 2-3 sentences) 9. Out-of-Scope for v1 (bullets) 10. Acceptance Criteria (how we know v1 is done) Keep it under 2 pages. Be opinionated. Choose, don't ask.
- Be opinionated in the inputs β vague in = vague out.
- Always paste a screenshot of your Stitch UI alongside the prompt.
- If Claude asks clarifying questions, treat each one as a real product decision.
- Edit the PRD ruthlessly before sending to Lovable β every extra sentence is a feature you'll have to maintain.
Day 3 Β· Slide 5 of 8 β 5. Build #1 β CareerCompass
Build #1: CareerCompass

Weekly Plan β AI-generated list of 5 concrete actions for the week, regenerated every Monday or on demand. Data model: - profile(id, name, current_role, target_role) - skill(id, profile_id, name, target_level 1-5, current_level 1-5) - session(id, skill_id, hours, note, logged_at) - weekly_plan(id, profile_id, week_start, actions jsonb) AI feature: - Generate the weekly plan using the Lovable AI Gateway. Prompt the model with the user's role, target role, skills, and last week's sessions. Return 5 actions with a one-line "why this". Visual style: - Navy #0A1F5C primary, gold #E8920A accents, white background, rounded cards, generous spacing. - Sans-serif (Inter). Mobile-first. Use Lovable Cloud for auth (email magic link) and database. Out of scope for v1: teams, payments, mentor matching.
Day 3 Β· Slide 6 of 8 β 6. Build #2 β WorkFlow

Build WorkFlow, an automated productivity tracker for knowledge workers. Audience: freelancers, remote workers, and small teams who hate manual time logging. Screens: 1. Today β a running timer, list of today's tasks, quick "Start task" input. 2. Automations β user-defined rules: triggers (keyword, app, time of day) β actions (auto-log, tag, notify). 3. Insights β charts of time by category, focus score, peak hours. 4. Settings β profile, categories, integrations placeholder. Data model: - profile(id, name, focus_target_minutes) - task(id, profile_id, title, category, started_at, ended_at, source) - automation(id, profile_id, trigger jsonb, action jsonb, active boolean) - daily_summary(id, profile_id, day, summary_text, focus_score) AI features: - Auto-categorise new tasks based on title using the Lovable AI Gateway. - Generate a daily summary at end of day: where time went, focus score 0-100, and one suggestion for tomorrow. Visual style: - Dark mode first. Navy #0A1F5C background, gold #E8920A accents, red #D72638 for "stop / overrun". - Inter font, generous spacing, big numeric displays for the timer. Use Lovable Cloud for auth and database. Out of scope for v1: real OS-level tracking, team dashboards, billing.
Day 3 Β· Slide 7 of 8 β 7. Launch Deck with Gamma
Ship It β Launch Deck in Gamma
A built app nobody hears about doesn't exist. We close the day by turning your build into a 7-slide launch deck in Gamma β under 5 minutes.
- Title β App name + one-line pitch
- Problem β Who hurts, and how badly
- The user β Audience in one sentence + a face
- Demo β 3 screenshots from your live Lovable app
- How it works β The 3 key features
- Built with AI β Stitch + Claude + Lovable in X hours
- What's next + the ask β Try it, feedback, collaborate
Create a 7-slide launch deck for [APP NAME] β [ONE-LINE PITCH]. Audience: [WHO]. Use the 7-slide structure: Title, Problem, User, Demo, How it works, Built with AI (Stitch + Claude + Lovable), What's next + Ask. Tone: confident, founder-energy, no fluff. Visual style: navy + gold + red accents, clean, lots of whitespace.
Day 3 Β· Slide 8 of 8 β 8. Assignments
Build-This-Week Assignments
Today you watched two apps get built. Now you ship. Pick at least 2 of the 5 assignments below before Day 4.
| # | Assignment | Tool | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Your Own Vibe-Coded Web App Pick a problem you personally face. Design the UI in Google Stitch, write the PRD in Claude using the template from class, then build a working version in Lovable. | Stitch + Claude + Lovable | Live Lovable URL + Stitch link + PRD PDF. |

| 3 | Rebuild WorkFlow β Your Version Take the WorkFlow tracker and adapt it for a specific audience: students, freelancers, or remote teams. Change copy, fields, and dashboard. | Lovable | Lovable URL + a 1-page positioning note (who it's for & why). |
| 4 | PRD Mastery Drill Use the PRD prompt template to generate PRDs for 3 different micro-apps in under 30 minutes. Quality > length. | Claude | 3 PRDs exported as PDF, each under 2 pages. |
| 5 | Launch Deck in Gamma Build a 7-slide launch deck for ONE of the apps you shipped today. Problem, audience, demo, how it was built, roadmap, ask. | Gamma App | Public Gamma link + share it in the class group. |
The students who win this course aren't the ones who watched the most. They're the ones who shipped the most. You have a working stack now. Use it.
See It. Sell It. Ship It β Visual AI Day
Hyper-real images, AI product photography, infographics, Gamma decks.
Day 4 Β· Slide 1 of 8 β 1. Welcome
See It. Sell It. Ship It β Visual AI Day
Today is almost entirely hands-on. We'll generate hyper-real images, do AI product photography, build infographics, and finish with a Gamma presentation generated live from a single prompt.
- Hyper-realistic image prompting β the 7-part formula
- AI product photography β turn any product into a studio shot
- AI infographics β text β one-page visual explainer
- Gamma App β prompt β full presentation, edited live
Day 4 Β· Slide 2 of 8 β 2. Mindset
Why visuals decide whether anyone listens
A 2024 LinkedIn study: posts with custom images get 2Γ the engagement of text-only posts. Pitch decks with original visuals close 40% faster. People judge your work in 50 milliseconds β before they read a word.
| Audience | What changes overnight |
|---|---|
| Young professionals | LinkedIn banners, profile photos, portfolio mock-ups β all on-brand without a designer. |
| Entrepreneurs | Studio-grade product shots, Instagram ads, pitch-deck hero images β at zero studio cost. |
| Teachers & researchers | Infographics that make complex topics click, slide visuals for any subject. |
| Employers / HR | Recruitment posters, internal comms decks, training visuals β built in minutes. |
| Employees | Better reports, sharper internal decks, polished proposals β without waiting on design. |
Day 4 Β· Slide 3 of 8 β 3. The Formula
The 7-part formula for hyper-realistic images
Every photoreal prompt that works follows the same skeleton. Memorise the order β your images get 5Γ better the moment you do.
| # | Part | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Camera & lens | Anchors the model to "photo", not "art". e.g. Sony A7R V, 85mm f/1.4. |
| 2 | Subject | Be specific: who/what, age, clothing, expression, action. |
| 3 | Setting | Where, time of day, season β kills the "AI nowhere" look. |
| 4 | Lighting | The single biggest realism lever. Name key, fill, rim. |
| 5 | Composition | Framing, depth of field, rule of thirds. |
| 6 | Mood + palette | 3-4 adjectives + a colour story. |
| 7 | Negatives | What to avoid: plastic skin, warped hands, AI-art look. |
Shot on a Sony A7R V with an 85mm f/1.4 lens at f/2.0, ISO 200, 1/200s. Subject: <WHO / WHAT β be specific: age, build, clothing, expression, action> Setting: <WHERE β be specific: location, time of day, season> Lighting: <KEY light source + secondary + mood β e.g. soft window light from camera left, warm rim light, golden hour> Composition: <framing β e.g. medium close-up, rule of thirds, shallow depth of field, subject on the left third> Mood / colour palette: <3-4 adjectives + a colour story> Material & texture detail: <skin pores, fabric weave, surface reflections β what should look real> Style reference: editorial photography, National Geographic, Vogue Business β pick ONE. Negative: no plastic skin, no extra fingers, no warped text, no over-saturation, no AI-art look.
Day 4 Β· Slide 4 of 8 β 4. Tools
Which image tool, when?
| Tool | Best at | Use when⦠|
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT (gpt-image) | Photoreal, text-in-image, branded mockups | You need posters, social ads, anything with legible text. |
| Gemini (Nano Banana) | Editing existing photos, product shots, fast iteration | You already have a product photo and want to restyle / replace background. |
| Midjourney v7 | Cinematic, editorial, mood-driven | Pitch hero, magazine covers, brand campaigns. |
| Adobe Firefly | Commercially safe, integrates with Photoshop | Client work where IP risk matters. |
| Leonardo / Ideogram | Logos, icons, typographic posters | Brand assets and text-heavy graphics. |
We'll run the SAME 7-part prompt through ChatGPT and Gemini side-by-side and compare what each one gets right and wrong.
Day 4 Β· Slide 5 of 8 β 5. Product Photography
AI Product Photography β a studio in your laptop
You don't need a softbox, a backdrop, or a photographer. You need one decent phone photo of the productand a clean prompt. We'll do this live with a real product on my desk.
| Shot | Purpose | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Hero on white | Clean product alone, e-commerce ready | Website PDP, Jumia, Amazon |
| 2. Lifestyle / in-context | Product in real use | Instagram, ads, landing pages |
| 3. Top-down flat-lay | Bundled with related items | Pinterest, blog, lookbook |
| 4. Moody close-up | Texture and craft detail | Brand storytelling, premium feel |
Studio product photograph of <PRODUCT NAME>, <ANGLE β three-quarter / top-down / eye-level>. Background: <seamless white / textured concrete / matching brand colour> Lighting: large softbox from upper-left, subtle fill from the right, soft shadow under product. Lens: 100mm macro, f/8 for full sharpness, ISO 100. Surface: <wood, marble, brushed metal, paper> Mood: clean, premium, e-commerce hero shot. Detail callouts: <logo legible, texture of material visible, droplets / steam / motion if relevant>. Negative: no warped logo, no floating object, no double shadow, no plastic sheen.
In Gemini Nano Banana, upload your own product photo and prompt: "Keep the product exactly the same. Replace the background with [scene]. Match lighting and shadow direction." This preserves your real product and just changes the scene.
Day 4 Β· Slide 6 of 8 β 6. Infographics
AI Infographics β text becomes a 30-second story
The goal: someone scrolls past, stops for 30 seconds, gets the point, screenshots it, shares it. Tools we'll use: Napkin AI (text β diagrams), Gamma (auto-layout), and ChatGPT image for the final polish.
- Title β the question or claim
- The 1 big number β the headline stat
- 3 supporting stats β context
- Simple flow / diagram β the "how"
- One-line takeaway β what to do now
Create a single-page infographic explaining <TOPIC> to <AUDIENCE> in under 30 seconds. Layout: vertical, mobile-friendly, 5 zones β title, the 1 big number, 3 supporting stats, a simple flow diagram, a one-line takeaway. Style: flat vector, 2 brand colours + 1 accent, no clip-art, no stock-photo people. Type: one strong sans-serif. Title 48pt, body 14pt. Data: use ONLY the numbers I paste below. Do not invent any data. <PASTE YOUR SOURCE TEXT / NUMBERS HERE>
I'll paste a 600-word article into Napkin AI and turn it into a shareable one-pager in under 4 minutes.
Day 4 Β· Slide 7 of 8 β 7. Gamma
Gamma.app β a full presentation from one prompt
Gamma generates entire decks from a single sentence β then lets you restyle the whole thing with one click. We saw it briefly on Day 2; today we'll go deeper: themes, custom fonts, exporting to PowerPoint and PDF, embeds.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | "Generate" β paste a 1-sentence brief: audience, goal, tone, slide count. |
| 2 | Pick a theme that matches the brand. Customise primary colour. |
| 3 | On each slide, hit "Edit with AI" to tighten copy. |
| 4 | Replace 2-3 stock visuals with your own AI-generated images from earlier. |
| 5 | Export β PDF / PPTX / public share link. |
A 10-slide pitch deck for a Ghanaian fintech serving market traders. Audience: investors at a regional demo day. Tone: confident, warm, data-led. Include: problem, solution, traction, business model, team, ask. Brand: navy and gold, modern editorial feel.
Day 4 Β· Slide 8 of 8 β 8. Assignments
Your assignments β generate 2 images for YOUR industry
The headline task: produce two hyper-realistic, professional images for your actual industry and use case. Then attempt the rest at your pace.
Generate TWO hyper-realistic, professional images for YOUR specific industry and use case (e.g. a banker's LinkedIn cover, a fashion brand's product shot, a school's prospectus cover). Apply the 7-part prompt formula from class.
Deliverable: 2 final images + the exact prompts used + a 2-line reflection on what you tweaked between attempts.
Pick one physical product (yours or someone else's). Produce a 4-shot pack: hero on white, lifestyle in-context, top-down flat-lay, and a moody close-up.
Deliverable: 4 images, named clearly, plus the seed prompt and the variation prompts.
Turn a piece of text you already have (a report, a blog post, a class note) into a single-page infographic that a non-expert can understand in under 30 seconds.
Deliverable: PDF or PNG of the infographic + the source text.
Use Gamma's 'Generate' flow to build a 10-slide deck on a topic you'd actually present this month. Then manually edit at least 3 slides for tone and accuracy.
Deliverable: Public Gamma link + a short note on which 3 slides you edited and why.
Write and save 5 reusable 'style blocks' for your brand or personal channel (e.g. corporate-portrait, editorial-product, friendly-illustration). Each block should produce a consistent look across 3 test prompts.
Deliverable: A doc with the 5 blocks + 3 sample images per block (15 images total).

Day 5 Β· Slide 2 of 8 β 2. Why Gemini
Why Gemini is the design-day winner
Gemini 2.5 (Nano Banana for images) is exceptional at three things we need today: editing existing images, holding brand consistency across formats, and rendering legible text inside images β which is exactly what posters, ads and flyers demand.
| Strength | Why it matters today |
|---|---|
| Text-in-image accuracy | Headlines on posters and flyers stay readable, no warped letters. |
| Image-to-image editing | Upload a product photo and just change background, lighting, mood. |
| Multi-format consistency | Generate the same ad at 1:1, 9:16 and 16:9 with the same look. |
| Native in AI Studio | Full control of temperature, safety, aspect ratio, seed β the "pro" knobs. |
Day 5 Β· Slide 3 of 8 β 3. Google AI Studio
Google AI Studio β the Pro account tour
aistudio.google.com is Google's free playground for Gemini's most powerful models. With a Pro / paid account you unlock higher rate limits, the 1M-token context, image generation, video (Veo) and audio (TTS) β all in one console.
| Panel | What it does |
|---|---|
| Prompt | Your main chat / generation surface. Drop images, PDFs, audio, video here. |
| Model selector | Switch between Gemini 2.5 Pro, Flash, Image, Veo. Pro = best reasoning + image. |
| System instructions | Lock the model's role and brand voice across the whole session. |
| Temperature / Top-P | Creativity dial. Low = consistent, high = varied. We'll demo both. |
| Aspect ratio | 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:5 β pick BEFORE you generate. |
| Get code | Export the same prompt as a Python / JS API call β for developers later. |
- Higher daily quota β no mid-class throttling.
- Access to Veo (video) and the latest image models.
- Save prompts as reusable "apps" you can share with your team.
- Larger uploads β entire PDFs, long videos, audio files.
Day 5 Β· Slide 4 of 8 β 4. Poster Live
Poster design β live build with Gemini
Posters fail when they try to say five things. We build with a clear hierarchy: title β hero image β details. Gemini's text-in-image makes this finally possible without dropping into Photoshop.
- Write the brief in plain English (event, audience, mood, palette).
- Use the template below β fill in the brackets.
- Generate at 9:16 or 2:3, then ask Gemini to "tighten the headline".
- Re-prompt with: "Same poster, swap the colour palette to ___" for variants.
Vertical A3 event poster, photoreal hero with bold typography overlay. Event: <NAME β e.g. "AI for Business Summit 2026"> Date / Time: <DATE, TIME> Venue: <PLACE> Audience mood: <e.g. ambitious young professionals, executive, faith-based, academic> Hero visual: <describe ONE strong image β e.g. confident speaker on stage, glowing stage lights, hands on a laptop with code reflection> Lighting: dramatic key light, soft rim light, cinematic. Colour palette: <2 brand colours + 1 accent> Typography: bold sans-serif headline top-third, supporting details bottom-third, legible from 2 metres. Layout: title 20% top, hero image 60% middle, details + CTA + logo 20% bottom. Negative: no warped text, no fake logos, no extra limbs, no cluttered background.
Day 5 Β· Slide 5 of 8 β 5. Product Ads
Product ads β one prompt, three ratios
Modern brands need the SAME ad in at least three places: Instagram feed (1:1), stories / TikTok (9:16), and YouTube / billboard (16:9). With Gemini we keep one master prompt and just swap the ratio + framing.
| Placement | Ratio | Crop priority |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram feed, Facebook | 1:1 | Product centred, headline top-left. |
| Stories, Reels, TikTok, WhatsApp status | 9:16 | Headline top, product middle, CTA bottom. |
| YouTube pre-roll, web banners, billboards | 16:9 | Product right-third, headline left-third. |
Premium product advertisement, <ASPECT β 1:1 / 9:16 / 16:9>. Product: <NAME + 1-line description> Brand mood: <e.g. luxurious, playful, minimalist, Afro-futurist> Setting: <studio / lifestyle / abstract gradient> Lighting: large softbox key, gentle fill, soft contact shadow. Composition: product hero-centre, generous negative space for headline. Headline area: top-left, 4-6 words max, sans-serif. Colour palette: <2 brand colours + 1 accent>. Include: subtle brand-coloured backdrop, micro-texture (dust, droplets, steam) for realism. Negative: no warped logo, no double shadow, no plastic sheen, no extra products in frame.
In Gemini: upload your real product photo + the prompt with "Use the product in the uploaded image, do not redraw it." β the product stays real, only the scene is AI.
Day 5 Β· Slide 6 of 8 β 6. Corporate Flyer
Corporate flyer β clean, branded, ready to print
A corporate flyer must look credible, communicate fast, and print well. We'll build a one-pager that's appropriate for a fintech, a training company, or a consultancy β and we'll do it without opening InDesign.
One-page corporate flyer, A4 portrait, professional and modern. Company: <NAME> Offer / Service: <ONE LINE> Audience: <WHO IT IS FOR> Layout (top to bottom): 1. Logo + bold headline (8-10 words) over a hero image 2. 1-line subheadline explaining the value 3. 3 benefit blocks with icons (each: 3-word title + 1-line description) 4. Strong CTA button + URL 5. Footer: contact, email, phone, social handles Style: clean white background, 2 brand colours + 1 accent, photo treatment matches brand. Typography: one serif OR one sans-serif family, max 3 sizes. Negative: no lorem ipsum, no fake testimonials, no clip-art icons.
- "Replace the 3 benefit icons with line-style icons in our accent colour."
- "Make the CTA button red and double its size."
- "Add a QR code placeholder bottom-right."
Day 5 Β· Slide 7 of 8 β 7. Course Recap
5-Day Recap β what you now own
| Day | Theme | Your superpower now |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mindset + Prompting | The CRISP framework + a cheat sheet you can export. |

- You ship in hours what used to take weeks β decks, apps, ads, reports.
- Your output looks intentionally designed, not just "AI-generated".
